Annie and Angsty is an interactive story for children with anxiety that helps them manage anxiety attacks. Many parents of children with anxiety experience not being able to help when their child experiences an anxiety attack. This is especially common in situations where they are not present to help, for example when the child is at school.
The interactive story about Annie and her anxiety was designed by a team of four designers in close dialogue with experts and parents. It helps the child calm down and understand what is happening to their body. If the child only wants to use the breathing tool, or one of the other coping exercises, the app also functions as a toolbox for coping techniques. In this project, I have not worked on the illustrations, but mainly on research and storytelling.
